Stainless steel welding rod use matters needing attention

1, chromium stainless steel with a certain corrosion resistance (oxidizing acid, organic acid, cavitation), heat and wear resistance. Usually used in power station, chemical, petroleum and other equipment materials. Chromium stainless steel welding is poor, should pay attention to the welding process, heat treatment conditions and the selection of the appropriate electrode.

2, chromium 13 stainless steel after the hardening of the larger, easy to produce cracks. If the same type of chromium stainless steel welding rod (G202, G207) welding, must be more than 300 degrees above the preheat and 700 degrees after the cooling treatment. If the welding parts can not be heat treatment after welding, should use the chromium nickel stainless steel electrode (A107, A207).

3, chromium 17 stainless steel, in order to improve the corrosion resistance and the welding of the appropriate increase in the amount of the stability of elements Ti, Nb, Mo, etc., the welding of 13 stainless steel is better than the chromium. When using the same type of chromium stainless steel welding rod (G302, G307), should be more than 200 degrees above the preheating and welding of about 800 degrees after the tempering treatment. If the welding parts can not be heat treatment, you should use the chromium nickel stainless steel electrode (A107, A207).

4, chromium nickel stainless steel electrode has good corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, widely used in chemical, fertilizer, oil, medical machinery manufacturing.

5, chromium nickel stainless steel welding, by repeated heating precipitation carbide, reduce the corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.

6, chromium nickel stainless steel medicine skin has a titanium calcium type and low hydrogen type. Titanium calcium type can be used for AC and DC, but the AC welding penetration depth is shallow, at the same time easily red, so as far as possible the use of DC power supply. The diameter is 4 and below can be used for all position welding, 5 and above for the flat and horizontal fillet welding.

7, using the electrode should be kept dry, titanium calcium type should be 150 DEG C and dried for 1 hour, low hydrogen type should be 200 to 250 DEG C dry 1 hour (do not repeat a drying, otherwise coating are apt to crack and spalling) to prevent electrode viscous oil and other dirt, lest cause the weld increase with carbon content, and the effect of the welding quality.

8, to prevent eye corrosion due to heating, welding current should not be too large, about 20% of the carbon steel electrode is less than, arc shoulds not be too long, interlayer fast cooling, a narrow weld bead is appropriate.

9, dissimilar steel welding should be carefully selected electrode to prevent electrode selection improper hot crack or high-temperature heat treatment caused by sigma phase precipitation, the metal embrittlement. Selection criteria of welding rod for stainless steel and dissimilar steel, and adopt appropriate welding process.
